Incredible experience working with HandF4B from start to finish. I purchased a piece posted on the Instagram and placed a bespoke order. Communication throughout the bespoke process was excellent, and he really went out of his way to make sure I was happy with every decision. The finished knives are genuinely one-of-a-kind pieces of functional art, especially the handle work and forged character. My custom has a very heavily forged geometry, and I was impressed by how comfortable and controlled it still feels in hand. Both have been a lot of fun to use.

These are a completely different world from the more traditional Japanese craft blades I’m used to. They have a much more raw, individual, hand-forged character, which is exactly what makes them special. Really enjoyed the creativity, craftsmanship, and customer service throughout the whole process.

I purchased a MK-1 from the new Apex Series. As soon as the initial 10 early access pieces were made available I knew I had to grab one. It is an amazing bit of kit! 🙌 Right out of the gate the unboxing experience is amazing, overall quality is fantastic and from early uses, the performance feels excellent. I had high hopes going in, and it has somehow exceeded expectations.

This is a unique knife. I have a lot of different kitchen knives but this feels completely different in my hand, it just feels right. It feels massive in a good way but not to heavy. Its cuts very good through everything and its really sharp. Its also very good looking and you get a knife that everyone will be jealous at!

As soon as I saw the Bru 9’ Chefs Knife I knew I wanted itc the finish on the handle and the blade is absolutely incredible. The weight is so perfect, razor sharp so performs so well. I love how the box turns up and the whole unboxing experience really adds to the value and experience of the knife! I just used the knife so what can i say about the quality and design of this masterpiece, it cuts through anything as if it was cutting through warm butter honestly think it could cut through armour plated steel whilst looking beautiful at the same time, the texture and colours make it look as if it was formed in nature a beautiful combination, sharp and beautiful im amazed by the knife and what HandFab could make i left the design and shape completely up to him just we discussed options for steel and colour of handle and its usage, what he came up with im beyond amazed i cant thank HandFab enough....if you want a perfect knife he is your guy

As a collector of hand made kitchen knives, it can be daunting sometimes to spend money on "unknown" makers , in a hobby that is very hype driven. I found out about HandFab through a fellow knife , liked what I saw and bought one for myself. I have to say, I have no regrets.
First, customer service is outstanding.... Prompt email, great to work with .... Couldn't ask for more ! As for the knife itself..... Yeah booiiissss ...... It's fantastic.
Its robust where it needs to be , thin behind the edge, with a thin tip that slays everything it touches. Hard to ask for more than that. The tall heel is great for working dense produce , yet it remains a nimble slicer. I spent a few days with it in the work kitchen , and it was fantastic as a do all line knife .... I use my tools and I didn't do anything different with this one than any other knife , and it was fine. I wholeheartedly recommend HandFab..... Give em a try, you won't be disappointed !!

I went with a few thoughts and ideas and they have just been blown out of the water with amazement.

They cut like a dream like a hot knife through butter if you will. All I can say is compliments. The whole process was fantastic with constant check ins to make sure I’m happy with everything to sending update pics through the whole process. Even a speedy delivery. I received the knives last week but due to moving I haven’t really been cooking so tonight I made the exception and bit the bullet, boy am I glad I did. It’s like Christmas came early.

Honestly, I don’t even know where to start.

I’ve spent more money than I’d like to admit on Japanese knives over the years, but the MK-1 Double Saber (Somewhere in the Galaxy) is easily my favourite knife I’ve owned. Since getting it, it’s the one I reach for every day.

The weight and balance just feel right. It takes a great edge, sharpens easily, and has had no problem keeping up with the 50–70kg of prep I do every week as a chef. It’s one of those knives that just feels like it was made to be used.

I was that impressed with it that I ended up commissioning a custom knife as well. The whole process has been brilliant. Every question I’ve asked has been answered, and the amount of time that’s gone into talking me through different steels, profiles and handle options has been amazing.

The thing that impressed me most was that it never felt like I was being pushed towards spending more money. The advice was always about what would suit me best, not what would make the biggest sale. That’s pretty rare these days and says a lot about the person behind the knives.

It’s obvious there’s a lot of pride in the work, and it shows in the finished product. I honestly couldn’t recommend Handfab enough, and I’m looking forward to seeing my custom knife finished.
